MADFUN is a small studio by choice. Ryan shoots, Felicia runs production, and the principals are on every set. Whoever you brief is whoever shoots.

Origin

How MADFUN got here

Ryan started as a photo assistant at a twelve-person Hollywood, Florida studio in 2005. Over the next fifteen years that studio turned into KSC Kreate, then One Kreate, then Creative Drive, a hundreds-strong operation spread across twelve offices. In 2015 he moved to Columbus to run the Ohio post and build its client book.

In 2020 the parent company shut its doors. The work didn't. Ryan and Felicia kept the relationships, kept the craft, and stood up MADFUN as a studio of their own.

The studio, 891 S James Rd.

In 2023 they moved into a 1950s former Main Federal Savings & Loan on Columbus's east side. A 4,500 square foot building with high ceilings, mid-century bones, and production infrastructure built to disappear. New street signage went up in 2025. The building is the third member of the team.

The work is commercial: food, product, fashion, lifestyle, for brands like Walmart, Burger King, Victoria's Secret, Under Armour, and the Abbott nutrition family. The approach is editorial: every frame has to justify its spot in the deck.
